While indulging my insomnia and watching BSG, I felt an earthquake! It might sound crazy, but as a native Californian, I actually miss the ground moving under my feet every now and then. Also, two years of being a geology major still makes me go earthquakes=yay versus earthquakes=freak out.

*pats the fabulous earth*

But the USGS has this nifty feedback feature, and 1900+ people have already reported feeling the quake - certain questions tell you what intensity you perceived, versus what intensity it was. This was only a 4.5, and we're over 30 miles from the epicenter, so this was just a light little shake. I don't even think it woke my Nana up.

Yeah, I'm guessing you wouldn't feel anything too strongly up there, but it's amazing how many places *besides* California experience quakes - evidently the Carolinas have had a few, though they're little baby quakes too. The biggest quake I've been through actually knocked me down as I was standing, and I couldn't stand up until it was over.
