shake rattle and roll
Aug. 9th, 2007 01:22 amWhile indulging my insomnia and watching BSG, I felt an earthquake! It might sound crazy, but as a native Californian, I actually miss the ground moving under my feet every now and then. Also, two years of being a geology major still makes me go earthquakes=yay versus earthquakes=freak out.
*pats the fabulous earth*
But the USGS has this nifty feedback feature, and 1900+ people have already reported feeling the quake - certain questions tell you what intensity you perceived, versus what intensity it was. This was only a 4.5, and we're over 30 miles from the epicenter, so this was just a light little shake. I don't even think it woke my Nana up.
