Archie Kennedy(Horatio Hornblower)/Arwen Undomiel(LotR)
Two very beautiful people, but his life was meant to be lived at sea, while Arwen was naturally wary of the ships and their destinations. And both were always pining after their former loves, both tall, dark and handsome men.

Bucky Katt(Get Fuzzy)/Dr. Daniel Jackson(Stargate SG:1)
Daniel thought he'd do well with a cat, but after Bucky ran up his Visa card and knocked over his statuary, Daniel decided to send Bucky on a one-way trip through the 'Gate.

Eriol Hiragizaawa(Card Captor Sakura)/Horatio Hornblower(eponymous!)
Both young men with old souls, but vastly different personalities. Eriol was always one for fun and games, though he found ways of getting Horatio to play...back, plot bunny, back! Oh no! Another on the horizon! Bunny ho!

Jack Aubrey(Master and Commander)/Kaho Mizuki(Card Captor Sakura)
Jack found Kaho sweet and enduring, and what woman could resist Lucky Jack Aubrey? Add in an auspicious visit from the Indefatigabule, with Horatio and Eriol aboard, and some doldrums, and there were plenty of goings on in the rigging!

Melrose Plant(Richard Jury mysteries)/Nakuru Akizuki (Card Captor Sakura)
Not such a crack pairing after all, not at least in my little world. In Broken Branches, these two find their moon magic pulling them together but alas, in the end it's not to be.

Obi-Wan Kenobi(Star Wars)/Padme Naberrie(Star Wars)
See, Padme, if you obey this meme, you get the ever so hot Ewan McGregor! In Jedi robes! And no whining! Please, please, for the love of all things sacred, listen to the meme!

Palpatine(Star Wars)/Dr. Rodney McCay(Stargate: Atlantis)
Yes, he was a snarky know-it-all, but at least Rodney only whined about food and his inept fellow minions of the Empire, which to Palpatine, was an improvement over his old apprentice.

Sappho(classics!)/Dr. Stephen Maturin(Master and Commander)
Lovelorn, the two would sit, she with her lyre and he with his cello, and agreee that Love was, indeed, a bitch.

Wesley Wyndham-Pryce(Angel/Buffy)/William Bush(Horatio Hornblower)
Theirs was the life - romantic walks on the beach, in the moonlight, listening to the waves crash against the shore, and staking a few vampires before turning in.

The Eriol/Horatio and Jack/Kaho 'ships are just asking for a big orgy. They really are.

Just wait until I start taking Welsh in October - then I can use more languages! Mwahahahaha!

Oh, those ships, with their perfect framing, are begging for an orgy. And it could be so be done - just throw in the Return card (I'm sure Eriol kept a copy of that one), Nakuru and Suppi begging to go back to the Age of Sail and some serious amounts of grog. Of course, we'd have to invite Messrs. Kennedy and Bush, because they'd want to play. And maybe even Capt. Pellew if we got them reaaaaaaaaaly sloshed.
