ainsley, you seriously need to do this once your week of Doom is over! I'd be curious to see what your soundtrack was. I'd also be curious to see what people would pick for their own soundtracks.
Opening Credits - Movement Two,Music for the 2001 Mars Odyssey Mission
A dark orchestral/choral piece with lots of burly men singing and drums. Rather ominous...
Waking Up - Stars and Butterflies, Pride and Prejudice Soundtrack
Okay, this is actually a perfect morning piece. Very calm and flowing. Not a bit like my mornings, but still.
Falling in Love - Darcy's Letter, ibid.
Evidently, when I fall in love it will be a melodramatic event, complete with mournful piano and cello. *coughs* Yeah, that about sums it up.
Fight Scene - Under the Weather, KT Tunstall
Damn. This is the happiest, fluffiest fight ever.
Breaking Up - Glory of the 80s, Tori Amos
Tori's good break up music. Maybe not this song, however.
Getting Back Together - Song of Oisin, Anuna
So I get back together with a rugged Irish guy? Okay!
Secret Love - The Portrait Galley, Prisoner of Azkaban Soundtrack
Only if I'm secretly having an affair with Professor Snape.
Life's Okay - La Valse d'Amelie, Amelie Soundtrack
This *is* my happy song on my iPod. Another match!
Mental Breakdown - Love Came Down at Christmas, Shawn Colvin
Another family holiday ruined, damnit.
Driving Flashback - Dogfight, Wallace and Grommit Soundtrack
It's a very, very fast flashback involving a hilarious bit with a coin purse.
Partying - Sandra's Theme, Big Fish Soundtrack
Evidently I hang out at some eclectic parties - this is a slow, quirky song.
Happy Dance - On Your Shore, Enya
More like a happy sway.
Regretting - You Learn, Alanis Morrisette
Again, iTunes makes up for earlier WTF moments.
Long Night Alone - Love Ridden, Fiona Apple
Damn, iTunes is on a roll...
Final Battle - My Friend, the Brachiosaurus, Jurassic Park Soundtrack
But it's a veggiesaurus!
Death Scene - Other Side of the World, KT Tunstall
"Will you still love me when you can't see me anymore..."
End Credits - Country Man, The Vision of Escaflowne
Easily my least favorite song on the soundtrack. Figures.
