another trip around the ellipse

Though this is somewhat belated, a Happy New Year's to you all. May 2005 bring you all happiness, contentment, welcome changes, unexpected yet delightful surprises, wisdom and the grace to endure whatever the future may hold.
*peers at the above* You know, I think I've yet to see that on a Hallmark Card.
There are the usual resolutions and promises, and two I absolutely must hold myself to are getting into school and stop waffling about with my life (that was one) and getting into shape - again (that's two). I like when my body has energy and potential - to quote e.e. cummings, I like what it does, I like its hows.
And another resolution is to write more. This is a bit more delicate - there are days when I can fill up a page and days where nothing will come out at all. But I think if I make it a daily habit, to try and better it, the path from my brain to my fingers will be better trod. And so for the purposes of writing, I'm setting up a new journal,
amicula. I'll be posting daily exercises from 'A Writer's Book of Days,' in addition to my own original writing - poetry (rare), prose and snippets from a story in my head which is starting to fall out my ears there's so much of it. I just think if I keep it seperate from this, I may put it to the use intended - and that way I won't bombard you all with posts.
