Ganked from
laurus_nobilis - and most of you know my fandoms. If you're uncertain about one, just ask!
1. Comment in this post with a pairing, a character, or a threesome.
2. I shall write you back a paragraph explaining what I think about it (good, bad, indifferent) and why.
3. Let's discuss / argue / CAPSLOCK at each other about it! I only ask that you don't get insulted, angry, mean, or stupid.

Date: 2007-05-12 05:06 am (UTC)Their dynamic is the exact opposite of Fujitaka and Nadeshiko - where as the latter is all sweetness and light, the former is all fire and sparkage. There's a moment in the second movie when I was sold on this as a pairing, right when they come back from the void, where they share a look that makes you ask all sorts of questions. I find it interesting that I like both Fujitaka/Nadeshiko and Fujitaka/Sonomi, albeit for completely different reasons.

Date: 2007-05-12 05:14 am (UTC)Overall, I haven't been that impressed with her character - to me, she seems rather flat and one dimensional. I did enjoy her 'action-y' bit in the Return Part II, but otherwise, she really doesn't stand out to me. I'm kinda picky about my leaders - I love Hammond but can't stand Landry, so maybe my ambivalence stems from that.
I know you'll probably hate to hear this, but I did like her 'shippy' bits with O'Neill this past season - it was a rather sweet chemistry they had.
My least favorite moment with her was when she authorized the torture of one of the crew. The issue of torture in Stargate is really tetchy with me, and this was one of the worst examples, how she could do this so callously, to me, and with what seemed like no regret.

Date: 2007-05-12 01:31 pm (UTC)Personally, I liked Weir when Jessica Steen (the blonde) played her. I though Steen gave Weir more OOMF of character that Higginson's Weir lacks. The thing is, I know Torri Higginson is a cool, funny, charismatic person because I've seen plenty of behind the scenes stuff but I don't get why that doesn't transfer at all to her Weir.
I <3 Hammond too. Probably more than is healthy, but that's the truth.
I'm okay with the shippy bits, but that's mostly because I know she has her own series ^_^ I did think they were sweet - I love the way the hug caught him off guard (still Sam/Jack til the death though!).
Honestly, my favorite part of her in three seasons' worth of material is the Season 2 ep "The Long Goodbye" where someone else takes control of Weir's body. And I agree with the torture thing - that doesn't seem very in character for Weir, even under desperate circumstances.

Date: 2007-05-15 04:42 am (UTC)With other people, I like his more antagonistic/teasing relationships, aka Daniel and Jack and Daniel and Vala. Daniel is at his best when someone is baiting him, getting that rise out of him. And snarky Daniel is just so much love.

Date: 2007-05-15 04:53 am (UTC)Kero can have his own agenda at times (someone posted a wonderful fic where Touya called Kero on pulling his sister into such a powerful contract so young), but he's utterly devoted to Sakura, whereas Yue can't let go of Clow. Kero embraces the present, albeit with a frightening enthusiasm at times, and isn't weighed down by the past. If anything, he can call Clow on his faults.
I love Kero's dynamic with Sakura and Tomoyo - they're so different (devotee yet antagonist vs. co-conspirator) and yet I love them both. Watching Kero sneak around town with Tomoyo or watching him interact with his mistress is equally enjoyable. I just wish we had been able to see his interaction with Touya, once he knew about his sister's secret. Officially, anyway. :)

Date: 2007-05-15 05:40 am (UTC)The one thing I do miss is the Daniel and Jack banter. He always seemed to relate better with Jack and how I've missed the snark between those two. While Daniel and Vala always make me laugh out loud, it just isn't the same. I loved this season's episode "The Shroud" because it had so many great Daniel and Jack moments.
I'm going to miss this show when it ends. *sniff*

Date: 2007-05-21 05:04 am (UTC)If one person could endure Killick, it would be Lord Peter. He would bear him with his usual humor, and he would be a bit more patient than Jack in regards to the coffee. He'd probably even switch to tea, just to make it easier. Lord Peter would probably appreciate Killick's eye to detail and for taking care of good things.
Killick would grumble about his lord's eccentricities, a lot, but he would come to truly respect the man, even if his respect came half-muttered under his breath.
