As I'm somewhat bored with my music lately and in search of good ways to procrastinate on the Papers of Doom (now joined by the Take Home Exam of Doom), I've been listening to shared music files on iTunes.
Some of the playlists are just - unbelievable. Some's playlist yesterday had every bad boy band, *and* Brittany Spears, just for good measure.

Even though my own playlist is rather laughable (I'll probably mock it in good time), I just thought I would start a new series of especially lamentable playlists.

Today's playlist, Owner's Music, was mostly a mix of hip-hop that I wouldn't listen to, with a random sampling of James Taylor. One CD at the end, though, made me laugh hysterically.

It was entitled 'Beach Workout,' and instead of some good reggae or Latin music at a cardio pace, it was the Beach Boys. And Margaritaville. Margaritaville, even at 130bpm, doesn't scream workout. It just doesn't! Techno can make many things sound cool, but it has its limits.

I wonder what you'd make of my playlist - Led Zeppelin, Will Young, The Who, Little Feat, My Chemical Romance, Queen...

My first thought?

Oooooh, Queen! I have such a weakness, especially for Fat Bottomed Girls. :)

I love that song! My dad used to have Queen's Greatest Hits (the first one) on 8 track and we used to listen to it over and over when we were doing chores on Saturday mornings.

BTW- I thought of you the other day. In the Signals Christmas catalogue, there were some Pride and Prejudice action figures. I thought you'd get a kick out of that.

I prefer 'Seven Seas of Rhye', but then I bought the 45 when it first came out....
