Articles about the environment tend to depress or anger me, depending on my mood. This article did both, I suppose. London, New York, Miami, probably every little island nation, all underwater by 2100 due to rising sea levels.

2100. Less than a century away. Those are places your grandchildren will never, ever see. Central Park, Trafalgar Square, what's left of New Orleans in a hundred years, all gone and washed away. What the hell kind of world are we leaving for the people who come after us? What will they think of us, the ones who squandered their futures away?

monica,
i have to confess, i find a certain beauty in the image of all these cities under water. and living in miami, i feel there is justice in the ocean taking over the land we have destroyed with our greed. but when i think of all the plant and animal life that will be destroyed, i am truly saddened. i can only hope that we learn from our mistakes and treat the world better day by day, starting this moment. while this article was only informing us of projections that can not be certain, there is no question that damage is being done. it is only a question of time.
