and as for dress sizes, my motto is that as long as the dress fits and you look good in it and feel good about yourself in it, the size doesn't matter ^_^ though i know nothing about wedding/bride's maids dresses... are they ordered at a certain size or can you change it? well, either way, good luck with the size eight thing. i have confidence you can do it.
