1. I stuttured severly until I was in high school, and often wouldn't speak up at all in class, even when I knew the answer. Now, it's often difficult to get me to be quiet, as if I'm trying to make up for all the lost words.

2. Once, I hated pastels, especially pink; now, light colors are a vital part of my wardrobe.

3. I have gotten so lost in a book I've had to be all but thrown off the light rail.

4. I once cried during an episode of Star Trek: TNG. The one where Deanna found about her secret, long-dead sister.

5. I believe music and stargazing have the ability to connect you with the deeper fabric of the universe, and this experience is both jarring and ecstatic.

6. Of all the insrtuments I've played, I still love tuba the best.

7. Formally and informally, I have studied 7 languages - and for about a month I tried to teach myself Swedish.

8. I worry that I live too much in my head, with the versions of people I imagine, not who they really are.

9. I both love my dreams and hate them; they have been exhilarating, enlightening and deeply terrifying, and I'm never sure what they'll be.

10. While I am happy and content being single, I miss physical affection; not so much sex merely as spontaneous kisses and simply being held.

11. Until I was in junior high, I really did want to be an astronaut. Then an interior designer in Russia. Then a paleontologist (thank you, Jurassic Park). Then a classicist and now a theology professor. Next year, I'll let you know.

12. When I was little, my friends and I made intricate houses for small imaginary creatures, and I made dresses for them out of flowers.

13. I connect most to my Mexican heritage through cooking, and made my first batch of Christmas tamales last year. However, I have yet to learn Spanish, even considering fact number 7.

14. I got rid of all my high school poetry. I do not regret this.

15. Of all the bodies of water to swim in, I love the sea the best.

16. Dolphins are my favorite sea creature; otters, however, are a close second.

17. In my next life, I'll be a physicist.

18. However, I don't believe in an afterlife for the most part, and haven't since my sophomore year of college.

19. I will admit to real life friends I do write fanfiction - though I won't admit it to all of them.

20. I am a shameless book pimp - and an even worse accent whore.
