Date: 2005-09-02 11:32 am (UTC)I got into HH because of Otter, and have now bought him the books (for Xmas a few years ago) and the A&E DVD set (last Xmas) -- the latter so that he could rewatch them whenever he wants, but when I told him about the Horatio/Archie icon you and I both have, he had no clue who Archie Kennedy was... That poor boy is so terrible with names...

Date: 2005-09-03 04:53 pm (UTC)Hee, Otter is good for many things! I got into the series after watching the hotness of Ioan Gruffudd in 'Fantastic Four,' and it's been very enjoyable. Only have 'Duty' left to watch and I just finished 'Hornblower during the Crisis.' The books are good - though I didn't get into them until the second or third books. The account of Horatiio's wedding to Maria is *priceless.* And as much as I love the interplay between Horatio and Bush in 'Loyalty' (though Bush/Cotard makes me giggle like a midshipman), I miss Archie. And I was so happy when he came back!
*grins* I was wondering why you were on the HH-icons list - now I know you're not just LJ stalking me!

Date: 2005-09-04 02:26 am (UTC)I did find it through you, but I didn't add it just because of you. It was a couple weeks ago that I watched all of the movies in just a couple days and daydreamed about Horatio/Archie (and I too was happy when Archie showed up again).
And I may take one of the icons later, or maybe another one after you make more. ;)

But yes, from the one episode I've seen, it's simply an amazing show, and I can't wait to watch more - and catch up on the last season.
