Taking a break from 'The One Thing' tonight (because uberangst can be draining and hey, once Chapter 4 is betad it'll be up) but that doesn't mean I'm not writing! Nakuru, overly-genki girl that she is, has been nagging me to write a story mainly about her, and the muse seems to think it's a good idea! My job affords me long stretches of downtime so I have quite a few notes full of scenes and quotes. It won't be posted until 'The One Thing' is done - sorry, Nakuru - but it should be fun. And funny. And if Joss Whedon, god that he is, doesn't sue me from being inspiring and sprinkling in some Buffy-inspired quotes, such as "I almost had to use my guardian powers on a woman who had her beady little eyes on my shoes!" Or such insights from Nakuru as "Yukito-kun, you're surrounded by love. You're swimming in it. It's the water in your little goldfish bowl." And absolutely, truly, no character death!

I think I hear a sigh from the audience.

Anyway, I may post little snatches of the story or more amusing quotes as they come to mind if people would like. Let me know!
