As I had a lot of work to finish today, of course, I decided it would be much more fun to Sim. I may not be progressing much in terms of, oh, practical work, or even the next chapter of my Rome/Philip Pullman fic, but I'm good on manipulating little people. Especially with the help of the ever wonderful aid, 'boolprop testingcheatsenabled true.' So instead of trying to increase skills and keeping Roman nobles from making puddles on the floor, I could concentrate on important matters - like hooking some poor matrons up!

Ahh, the noble Junii. They get much less noble from here on in.

Poor Brutus - if he knew what was coming he'd stay a teenage forever.

Brutus and Cicero are off to a fast friendship. He has yet to meet Marc Antony...or Cassius.

Studying to become a tyrannicide is hard work!

"So, are you and my mother, er, well...."

"Yes, we are."

"Definitely."

Servilia isn't the only one getting a bit of action. Antony and Atia's spark is growing into a flame - he adorably leaped into her arms shortly before this scene.

Hot tubs are fabulous things. Antony and Atia thoroughly agree.

Speaking of Caesar (who is going to start flirting with Atia soon and cause havoc), he's quite the charmer. Here, he and Posca unwind after a day of plotting a coup, civil war whatever they're up to.

Checking in on our favorite equestrian family, Marcus junior and senior are becoming fast friend. He's soon on his way to his first word - or, given his parentage, his first diatribe.

It's the plebs!

And they're bringing friends with freedwomen wives! Run for the new park!

The rivalry heats up - what else will have the temperature in Tusculanum rising?

Can I just say that the paved asphalt road and the pick-up truck driving by in the background of some of those shots is a hilarious anachronism.

I need to go and code a cobblestone road option, but the trucks, unfortunately, you can't help - all my families have gardeners and maids, and so they bring their trucks along. I may do some hunting for recolours for the trucks, but custom content for Macs is tricky sometimes! I have these beautiful Roman walls, but I can't get the damn things to show up!

I am endlessly amused that in the interest of not having very anachronistic televisions (the Tullii need to upgrade!), most of the families have plasma TVs. ;)

Ha! That's great. Sim!Brutus is adorable. Can't wait to see what happens when he meets Antony.

Looks like you're having lots of fun with Sim!Rome. :) Keep it up...and keep us posted.

I would buy all seasons of Sim Rome on dvd. This is quite fun.

Best is Brutus
