To the Betas!
Mar. 11th, 2004 03:58 pmChapter Three of 'The One Thing...' is done! Hurrah! I just zipped all 2,400 words off to my betas (and if you'd like to be added to the beta list I'd be happy to have more!), and so once I revise, the thing will be up. It took longer than planned but I think it was worth it - a good chunk was written last night and I was feeling pretty 'zone-ish' while I was typing. Whee!
The Tsukimine Shrine fic challenge sounds like a nice, happy break from all this heavy angst. Thankfully I can write the angsty stuff without getting too overwhelmed - thanks to my stint as an obituary writer, I suppose, where you have to be able to write without getting emotionally overwhelmed every time you do a group of obits - but there's nothing wrong with the fluffy bunny stuff.
Ironically, I suppose I have my dentist to thank for me getting home early enough to finish off the chapter. Despite the pain I'm just starting to feel now that the shots have worn off, and how painful the next week or so will be, I got home early and got to write, darn it. And once the other half of my mouth has had its nice deep cleaning and healed, life will be good. If only they would invent non-pointy-thing dentistry....
