Michael Shanks speaking Welsh? Oh, we need so much more of that. Diolch, whoever wrote that bit in! I thought this was a good friendship/team episode, especially between Sam and Daniel. And Vala? I still love her to bits. Her dynamic with Daniel is wonderful, and I really see it evolving into a sibling dynamic, as both actors have stated in interviews.
I'd love to see a fic explaining what sensitive files, exactly, Vala found on his computer. :)
Atlantis:
Poor Carson! It's always hard to be the one with a conscience on these shows. Did anyone else think that the best thing to do with the converted Wraith was to ship them to New Zealand for any furture LOTR movies? And are the SG shows homes for all the poor science fiction actors whose shows got cancelled (Star Trek, Farscape, Firefly)? Not that I'm complaining...
Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to next week. Sam and McKay! Daniel and Vala wandering about Atlantis!

Date: 2006-07-22 08:19 pm (UTC)that was the first of many awesome bits of that episode. ooooooooooh my goodness, i was so happy after watching "morpheus". vala's tortoise line was absolutely priceless as well and the whole dynamic between everyone was really wonderful. if the rest of season 10 is as sweet as this ep was, i'll be one very happy fangirl.
as for atlantis, i'm a little disappointed with the current plot line... but i completely agree with your lotr/wraith comparison. i made that point to my friend and my mom who were watching with me. i think the best elf-wraith was the one with dreds. the best line of that ep had to be when carson was in the drone chair and he said how it was ironic how he almost killed the only other two people besides himself who could operate the chair.
cross-over ep next week... let's just say i've been squeeing since i saw on gateworld that they were doing one. sam&rodney!!!! *biggrin*
