Bathed in Moonlight
May. 4th, 2004 10:27 pmHaving a south-facing bedroom may make sleeping somewhat difficult, but tonight it does have its advantages. The moonlight streams into the room, flodding it with silver-blueish light, and it is like sleeping beneath an ocean of moonlight. A random thought, but a pretty one, ne?
Feeling a bit irrationally sad (but I know it's irrational sadness!) but I think it's just hormones. Or the fact the copy editor job I wanted I can't get to - curse my lack of car! Sometimes I just rue my two x chromasomes and lack of driving ablity, you know? Had a little extra chocolate today, and a good walk until the fatigue set in. Made another excellent dinner - chicken breasts stuffed with goat cheese and sun dried tomato, garlic and red pepper couscous (I admit, from a box) and fresh green beans with a soy sauce-walnut dressing.
On the bright side, DU called me and I need to call them back and see if it was for a job interview - i hope it was! Good bay and excellent benefits, including a tuition waiver! Tuition waiver! On the not so bright but possibly literary side I think i am going to *have* to write that primer on platonic friendships I've been half-joking about. That or else force my family to read bell hooks. Or both.
