Okay, this meme oficially took up far too much of my time, but it was madly fun. Basically, here's the meme:
1. Go to the Elouai doll maker. (Click here)
2. Make an ordinary doll of yourself and save it.
3. Take that doll and, leaving a couple things (nose, eyebrows, whatever) the same, Mary Sue yourself. Make the most blatant Mary Sue you can conceive.
4. Post "Before" and "After" in your LJ. Bonus points if your Sue has a backstory of some sort.
Without further adieu, the Sues (and their stories)
Normal Artie

Mary Sue Miranda

Oh, poor Miranda. She's been stuck in my head a few years and has only escaped to pen and paper a few times, though she did make it to this LJ once a few months ago. She's one of the main characters in an urban fantasy, and is an extremely powerful magic-user whose power comes from the written word. Out of all my OCs with Sueish tendencies, I love her the best, but I don't know how to write her story without it being incredibly cheesy.
Mary Sue Seryl

Oh, dear a few of you reading this actually know her. Seryl was my character on WNOHGB, a Star Trek RPG, and in some ways, yes, she was me with spots - even though, yes, this Seryl is spot free. She had a habit of bringing drama with her wherever she went, and by the time I signed off, she had died and come back to life more times than Harry Kim. This particular, ahem, outfit, is what I imagine a Mirror Universe Seryl would wear. Does it make me a complete and utter geek that I would love to make such an outfit for convention next year?
Dragon Rider Sue

This Sue is both old and new, and has never even gotten a name from her creator. She's a sarcastic, talented dragon rider and air elemental in a world whose dimensions keep changing and shifting on me. Perhaps the fact that she isn't ever romantically linked to the male lead makes her slightly less of a Sue, but she still qualifies. And she's the most blatant Sue I could think of - though if the outfits were a little more eclectic, Miranda could have been.
