Like Mecca for Foodies
Jun. 13th, 2006 03:23 pmPalmdale might not have much, but it does have a Trader Joe's. Oh, I see why people love this store. They have all these wonderful gourmet foods for such cheap prices. Sea salt for less than a buck, organic whole wheat pasta for less than a buck - I honestly thought I might cry out of pure happiness. Sadly, the nearest Trader Joe's to Greenville is in Virginia, but I think it calls for a expedition.
So, what else is new? Have gone to the gym two days in a row (yay!) and I've no clue what to get my sister for her bridal shower that's, ahem, safe to open at a party with older family members. Tommorrow I may trek to the library - my box of books hasn't arrived and I'm running low! Though speaking of books, I'm nearly done reading Blue Lattitudes, which is not only about Captain Cook's various voyages but about the impact of those voyages and the remembrace of Cook today. Oh, and some very funny bits about the author's travel companion, an Aussie named Roger. I highly recommend it. :)
