Dear British Character Actors Named David...

...please stop breaking my heart with your brilliant acting. Seriously, I don't need any more love for the over-50 Davids, I have plenty as is.

*sniffs* 'Broken Bird,' episode 6.13 of NCIS, was absolutely brilliant, in other words - it's watchable online at cbs.com, and features a wonderful turn from Torri Higginson, better known to everyone as Dr. Weir from SG:A.

You can't have David - I saw him first, forty odd years ago.

As Azdak, I am bound to say that I think he should go to *the one who loves him best*.

Not the one who's loved him longest?

Sorry, no, definitely best, not longest. As it happens, I have a handy chalk circle over here - whichever of you manages to pull him out, gets to keep him.

Bah, I'm such a softie, and a newbie to the DMC love, I wouldn't put up much of a fight - so long as I had visitation rights!

Awwwww! Can I at least share? You can't blame a girl for trying. :)

*blinks and realizes at six months away from thirty, she's not exactly a girl anymore!*

Oh yes you are. I'm fifty and still a mere slip of a lass! It's people like David who keep us young (and yes, we can share him...)

Wasn't it an incredible episode? I was in serious wibble mode at the end - along with 'Philippi' in Rome (hence the allusion to 'my other David', this was one of the only TV episodes I've ever seen that has nearly brought me to tears. What an absolutely incredible actor - kudos to the writers for finally letting him shine.
