It's a shame they didn't allude to more of the Philippics in the series, but I was thrilled at least we got the best of the 2nd. It was tricky getting the dynamic between Cicero and Antony, much less to get Cicero on top - so thank you very much for the compliment!
And that balance between Rome!Cicero and Historical!Cicero is precicely what I was aiming for - it's becoming easier to reconcile the two. 'On Old Age' was my introduction to Cicero eight years ago, and 'On Friendship' was what endeared me forever. Though I wonder what he would say about a dinner party quite like the one in the story.
