New Pellew Story
This is from A Social History of the Navy by Michael Lewis, and is for all you fellow Pellew fans. I swear, he just has the best stories ever. :)
Jeremiah Coghlan was a Merchant Service boy who showed extraordinary courage, rescuing fifty men from an East Indiaman. Hearing about the boy's story, Sir Edward Pellew offered him a berth in the Indefatiguable as a Midshipman. Coghlan thrived under Pellew's care, making Lieutenant and eventually Post Captain before his death.

Also, I developed a teensy crush on Lt. Bush. But Matthews is still my favorite.
