Having mastered my mom's computer, somewhat, here are the first pictures from San Francisco!
The Balaclutha at sunset our first night. The first of many, many times I said "That's so beautiful" during our trip.
Driving over the bridge my mom and I were just giddy. Except a few mornings, we hardly had any fog, which is a definite contrast to most other trips!
Thankfully, we still managed to drive safely. This is one of my favorite shots.
Oh, the Japanese Tea Gardens. This alone could make me move to San Francisco. It's such a little gem within the larger gem that is Golden Gate Park.
Me and, perhaps a future ship, the Balaclutha. You could still see the masts from the Bay Bridge, it's that distinctive. The Balaclutha was formerly the Star of Alaska - in a few days I'll be visiting her sister, the Star of India!
I *cannot* remember the name of this device, but it's the mirrors that amplify the light in a lighthouse. It's stunningly beautiful, and in an odd way, looks like it belongs in the engine room of an entirely different kind of ship. This is in the Visitor's Center of the Maritime Museum, which is much newer.
My mom and I stopped for lunch in Chinatown, and mom snapped this picture, which I actually liked - a bit odd for me!
On the way back we passed through to visit my dad!
