Shiny New Historical Procrastination

Remember when I said, oh, this summer, I bought Sims 2 as a reward for finishing my now obsolete prospectus?

Yeah, that wasn't such a good idea.

I spent a good portion of last night building a swank bachelor pad for Marc Antony, getting him and Atia on the path to romance, fixing up the home of the Tulli, and, well, seeing that Tulliola isn't an only child anymore.

The Tulii, before the addition of young Marcus. Poor Tullia looks more like her father, but Terentia is quite lovely. Tulliola is certainly her father's darling - they both love the anachronistic piano and telescope.

These two are ridiculously sweet towards each other - spontaneous serenades and cuddling. It's quite sweet, but bastard historian in me wants to see just how I can simulate the breakup of their marriage.

Marcus senior giving Marcus junior his first ever bath. Tullia, however, is the most doting member of the family when it comes to the newest addition.

Atia's branch of the Julii - sadly, I haven't found historical clothing for young boys.

Our swinging bachelor! When he walks by, he's in everyone's thought bubbles.

Another day in Antony's ridiculously swank villa.

Servilia, with the bright ginger hair, has a bizzare relationship with her fellow Republicans. She will literally storm into the Cicero home and start pushing people around. I don't understand it!

Atia and Servilia - I cannot wait to really let these two at each other.

The little blond girl is Octavia, in this frighteningly omniscient screencap.

I still need to make Caesar and Posca, Cassius, and probably Cleopatra once Tullia and Brutus (not shown) become adults and Octavia and Octavian become teenagers. And I'm debating recreating the Ciceros or at least trying to sneak Tiro into their household. And once the cast is assembled, to paraphrase Shakespeare, we'll let slip the dogs of love and war.

Ooh, very nice. I would love to have my own Sims, but I'm well aware no one would ever see me again because I'd be too obsessed with my Sims.

But where's Pullo and Vorenus? Octavian needs to learn swordplay and whatnot.

Can't you adapt the men's clothing, and make it smaller for boys?

I think I have the wrong OS (Mac OSX) and programs to try any recolours of my own, but I might try doing a blue version of the centurion outfit for Antony, just because he looks so damn gorgeous in that. Hunting down a boys tunic may take a bit longer, but if I put some work into it there's probably something out there.

And yes, I'll be adding Pullo and Vorenus! I just remembered Cassius, and I suppose I could throw in Pompey and company....

If you guys don't hear from me for a while, you know what happened!
